Visiting Indian Secretary to Ministry of External Affairs Vikram Misri met with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to discuss mutual interests and review major Indian-assisted development projects ongoing in Sri Lanka.
Alongside these discussions, both parties exchanged agreements for 350 million dollars in Indian Rupee-denominated lines of credit as part of a 450 million dollar reconstruction package provided to Sri Lanka following the recent cyclone Ditwah.
These credit facilities will directly aid the rebuilding of storm-damaged regions, infrastructure development, and urgent rehabilitation requirements.
