Sri Lankan batsman Kusal Mendis has become the highest run-scorer in international cricket in 2024, scoring 1860 runs across all three formats of cricket – ODIs, T20Is and Tests.

It is noteworthy that a Sri Lankan batsman has become the highest run-scorer of the year ten years after Kumar Sangakkara scored 2813 runs in 2014.

The second place on the list is taken by the young player Yasashvi Jaiswal of the neighboring Indian cricket team, who has scored 1771 runs.

Sri Lankan batsman Pathum Nissanka is the third place on the list, scoring 1696 runs.

In addition, it is noteworthy that the three highest run-scorers in ODIs last year are also from the Sri Lankan team.

Accordingly, Kusal Mendis is at the top of the list with 742 ODI runs.

Pathum Nissanka is at the second place with 694 runs, while Sri Lankan ODI and T20 captain Charith Asalanka is at the third place.
