The recruitment of 541 new personnel for driver and conductor positions took place today (10) at Temple Trees, presided over by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
This move serves as a primary step in the reorganisation of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB).
The recruitment consists of 342 drivers and 199 conductors.
Plans are in place to attach these new recruits to 107 SLTB depots located across the island.
