
The August installment of the Aswesuma welfare benefit is scheduled to be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts today (19), according to the Welfare Benefits Board.
In a statement, the Board said a total of Rs. 9.241 billion will be credited to the accounts of 999,502 beneficiary families under the first phase of the Aswesuma Welfare Benefit Scheme.
Meanwhile, payments amounting to approximately Rs. 2.322 billion are scheduled to be made to 212,955 beneficiary families under the second phase of the programme.
Accordingly, payments under both phases are expected to provide financial assistance to more than 1.2 million beneficiary families for the month of August.
The Welfare Benefits Board has requested beneficiaries to check their registered bank accounts for the relevant payments.
