In a high-profile union bringing together Indian cricket and the music industry, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) owner Kavya Maran is set to marry popular Indian music composer and singer Anirudh Ravichander in November 2026.
The wedding plans have effectively been confirmed after Kavya’s parents, Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran and his wife Kavery Maran, personally invited Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to the couple’s wedding reception.
According to Indian media reports, the reception will be held in Chennai on November 21, while the wedding ceremony is reportedly planned for November 11 in Greece. The Greece ceremony has not yet been officially confirmed.
Kavya Maran is one of the most recognisable faces in the Indian Premier League (IPL), regularly appearing at Sunrisers Hyderabad matches and player auctions. She plays a prominent role in managing the franchise, which is owned by her family’s Sun Group.
Anirudh Ravichander, meanwhile, is among India’s leading music composers, having delivered several blockbuster soundtracks for Tamil and Hindi films, including Jailer, Jawan and Leo. He first rose to international fame with the viral song Why This Kolaveri Di.
Speculation surrounding their relationship first attracted widespread attention in 2025, although Anirudh publicly dismissed marriage rumours at the time.
The rumours resurfaced in June 2026 when Anirudh’s uncle, actor Y. G. Mahendran, indicated during an interview that the composer was preparing to marry Kavya.
The latest development follows months of speculation, with the reported invitation to the Telangana chief minister providing the clearest confirmation yet of the couple’s wedding plans.
Neither Anirudh nor Kavya has publicly announced the full wedding arrangements.
