Badulla- The death toll from the landslides that occurred in seven different locations across the Badulla District due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions has risen to 11.
The Badulla District Secretary, Panduka Abeywardena, stated that an additional seven individuals are reported missing.
Due to the persistent adverse weather, numerous landslides and earth slips continue to be reported in several areas across the district. Relief teams are reportedly still engaged in search operations to locate the missing persons.
The District Secretariat urges the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with disaster management teams as weather conditions remain perilous. (newscenter)
