Final day of foot march demanding Gnanasara Thero’s release begins

The “Justice for the Robe – National Pledge Offering and Freedom March,” organised under the leadership of the Bikkhu groups calling for the release of Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero, has commenced its final day of marching today (15), setting off from Kadawatha towards Colombo.

The foot march commenced on October 10 at the premises of the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy and proceeded through Kadugannawa, Kegalle, Warakapola and Nittambuwa before concluding in Kadawatha yesterday (14).

Accordingly, members of the Maha Sangha resumed the march towards Colombo this morning amid heavy rain.
