"Former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), Tuan Suresh Sallay, was arrested at 7:50 AM today within the Peliyagoda Police Division.

The suspect was taken into custody based on clear evidence revealed during the ongoing investigations into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.

He is being referred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigations. The media will be briefed in due course regarding the subsequent steps taken by the investigating officers."
