Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, his daughter, son-in-law and grandson have died, foreign media reports

Iranian state media has revealed for the first time that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been assassinated.

Iranian media have also reported that the daughter, son-in-law and grandson of the Iranian Supreme Leader were also killed in the attack.

Meanwhile, Iranian media have reported that the country has decided to declare a 40-day period of national mourning due to Khamenei's assassination.

Earlier, the Israeli Prime Minister and the US President had expressed their views that Ali Khamenei had been assassinated, but Iran had denied it.
