COLOMBO – Former Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment, Manusha Nanayakkara, appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) a short while ago.
Speaking to the media upon his arrival, the former Minister made a striking prediction regarding his immediate future and alleged political victimisation.
“It looks like I won’t be returning today after going to the Bribery Commission. When I came to save the country when it was falling, what I get in return is revenge,” the former Minister stated.
He further suggested the revenge was driven by a specific individual: “Apparently, a certain woman wants to take revenge on me.”
The former Minister's comments imply he expects to be arrested and remanded today following his appearance before the CIABOC. The nature of the specific allegations against him being investigated by the Commission remains officially undisclosed. (NewsCenter)
