The Sri Lanka Railway Station Master's Association has announced that it will embark on an immediate trade union action based on several demands.
Issuing a statement in this regard, they say that they have decided to embark on this immediate trade union action due to the delay in submitting 05 copies of the recruitment procedure for the Station Master's service, which includes the new amendments, for the signature of the Secretary of the Public Service Commission and the continuous delay in submitting recommendations for final arrangements related to the said recruitment procedure.
The statement also states that the relevant authorities, including the President, were informed in writing on the 9th.
However, due to the failure to provide relevant solutions so far, the Sri Lanka Railway Station Master's Association has further announced that it will embark on a trade union action after the 23rd.
