Colombo – Sampath Manamperi, who was wanted by authorities, has reportedly surrendered to the Walasmulla Magistrate's Court today (September 17).
Manamperi was wanted in connection with the investigation into the discovery of two containers in the Middeniya area. The containers were found hidden and contained chemicals suspected of being used for the production of the 'ICE' narcotic.
This development follows a notification made to the Court of Appeal on September 15 by Manamperi's lawyer, who stated at the time that his client was prepared to surrender to a court.
