Satyagraha launched demanding release of Gnanasara Thero temporarily suspended

Ven. Ulapane Sumangala Thero stated that the satyagraha held at the Viharamahadevi Park premises in Colombo is being temporarily suspended, as the Mahanayake Theros of the Three Nikayas have informed that they will intervene to secure the release of Ven. Gnanasara Thero.

Making a statement to the media this afternoon (25) together with the monks engaged in the satyagraha, the Thero mentioned this.
