
Sri Lanka suffered a dramatic batting collapse as the West Indies Select XI secured a 15-run victory in their four-day warm-up match in the Caribbean.
Resuming the final day in a strong position while chasing a target of 124, Sri Lanka were bowled out for just 108, falling 15 runs short of victory.
The visitors had entered the day needing fewer than 100 runs with nine wickets in hand after taking a 76-run first-innings lead.
However, the Sri Lankan batting lineup failed to capitalise on the advantage, losing wickets regularly as the West Indies Select XI fought back to snatch victory.
Alzarri Joseph starred with the ball, claiming four wickets, while the hosts produced a disciplined bowling performance to defend the modest target.
Earlier in the match, Sri Lanka had dismissed the West Indies Select XI for 205 in the first innings before posting 281 in reply, with Dinesh Chandimal top-scoring with 74.
The West Indies Select XI were then bowled out for 199 in their second innings, setting Sri Lanka a target of 124.
Despite appearing favourites to complete the chase, Sri Lanka collapsed to 108 all out, handing the West Indies Select XI a memorable 15-run win.
