A shooting incident has been reported at a house in the Halpathota area of Baddegama this morning (27).
Police said a group who arrived in a car had carried out the shooting before fleeing the scene.
A woman and a man who sustained injuries in the shooting have been admitted to hospital, police said.
Two police teams have commenced investigations into the incident.
