A woman has sustained injuries in a shooting near an apartment complex on 6th Lane, Colpetty, in the early hours of today (4), police said.
The shooting took place at around 3:00 a.m., when a person who was on an upper floor of an apartment complex allegedly opened fire at two women who were outside the building.
One of the women sustained gunshot injuries and was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.Police said the shooting was carried out due to a personal dispute and that the suspected shooter has been arrested.
The Colpetty Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
