
Investigations into a corruption allegation involving former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara concluded, the Bribery Commission informed the Colombo Magistrate's Court today (20).
The complaint came before Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodharagama today. Bribery Commission officials informed the court that the investigation into this incident reached completion, and files were submitted to the Bribery Commissioners for further action. The officials requested a date from the court to report on the progress of these steps.
The Magistrate, after considering the facts, ordered the case recalled on August 28 and directed the Commission to update the court on progress on that date. The Bribery Commission filed this complaint against former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara, alleging corruption and causing a loss to the state by awarding the training of human resource officers at the Foreign Employment Bureau to a private company in 2023.
