Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Member of Parliament Chaminda Wijesiri, who was serving an 18-month prison sentence after being convicted of assaulting and uttering death threats to two individuals, has been released on bail.
He was released following the consideration of an appeal petition he submitted.
However, despite being granted bail, he has been barred from traveling abroad without prior permission from the court.
