Development Officers to launch trade union action tomorrow

Development Officers across the island have decided to launch a trade union action by reporting sick leave tomorrow (09), citing several demands.

The General Secretary of the Joint Development Officers’ Association, Dhammika Munasinghe stated that although their demands had been brought to the attention of the authorities on several occasions, no action had been taken to address them.

He made these remarks while addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today (08), confirming that the trade union action would go ahead tomorrow.
