Translation The England cricket team will tour Sri Lanka for a series of three ODIs and three T20s, the England Cricket Board officially confirmed today (20).
They are undertaking this tour as a preparatory step before the upcoming T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in early January 2026.
The ODI series will be held first, with matches on January 22, 24, and 27.
Following this, the three-match T20 series will be played on January 30, February 1, and 3.
This will be the first time in over seven years that an England white ball team has toured Sri Lanka.
Their last visit was in 2018, where they won the ODI series 3-1 and also secured victory in the one-off T20 match.
The two countries last met in a T20 match during the 2022 T20 World Cup.
The upcoming 2026 T20 World Cup, co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India, will be held in February and March.
England has been crowned T20 World Champions twice, in 2009 and 2022.
