The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government has announced plans to install fingerprint scanners in all state institutions.
According to Minister Dr. Chandana Aberathna, scanners have already been installed in numerous government offices, including Divisional Secretariats.
The primary objective is to streamline the attendance and departure of employees and to minimize irregularities in reporting for duty. (NewsCenter)
