(Colombo- Sri Lanka) Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who was receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Colombo National Hospital, has been discharged.
He was transferred from the ICU to a general ward this morning (29) before being discharged.
According to the United National Party (UNP) media unit, the former president will continue to rest at his residence, following the medical advice he has been given.
The statement added that during his time at home, his family doctors will closely monitor his health.
