Former Krrish director Janaki Siriwardena arrested for allegedly bribing Namal

Former Executive Director of Krrish Group and business personality, Janaki Siriwardena, has been arrested by the Bribery Commission (CIABOC) over an allegation of providing Rs. 70 million to MP Namal Rajapaksa as a bribe on three occasions.

She was reportedly arrested this morning (24) by officers of the Special Investigation Unit of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

It is claimed that a bribe of Rs. 70 million had allegedly been given to MP Namal Rajapaksa on three separate occasions in exchange for his assistance in securing a property in Colombo Fort, belonging to the Urban Development Authority (UDA), for Krrish Transworks Colombo (Pvt) Ltd., and expediting the obtaining of the necessary approvals.
