Former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), retired Major General Suresh Sallay was discharged from the Colombo National Hospital this afternoon (6) after completing his medical treatment.
A 10-member medical panel at the hospital informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court earlier today that Suresh Sallay was fit to be discharged.
Following the medical panel’s decision, Additional Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris told the court that Sallay would be taken back into the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this afternoon.
Sallay was subsequently taken away from the hospital after completing his treatment.
