
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court today that it has filed indictments in the Colombo High Court against former Minister Arjuna Ranatunga and his brother, Dhammika Ranatunga.
The charges relate to causing a loss of nearly Rs. 800 million to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) by purchasing petroleum through spot tenders at inflated prices.
This notification was made to the court when the case was called today (22nd) before Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama.
