The Colombo High Court has postponed the trial in the case filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act against Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The case was taken up today before Colombo High Court Judge Udesh Ranatunga, said Ada Derana reporter.
Accordingly, Yoshitha Rajapaksa, who is currently out on bail, appeared before the court.
The court ordered the postponement of the case as the President’s Counsel representing the defence was indisposed.
The Attorney General filed the case against Yoshitha Rajapaksa, alleging that he had committed an offence under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act by purchasing five plots of land in the Dehiwala and Ratmalana areas, valued at more than Rs. 73 million.
