An accident occurred this morning (06) near the Welipenna service area on the Southern Expressway when a truck crashed into the rear end of a container truck traveling ahead.
The driver of the truck involved in the accident has succumbed to his injuries.
The incident is reported to have taken place near the 40-kilometre post between the Dodangoda and Welipenna interchanges.
