SDIG Waruna Jayasundera seeks court order preventing arrest over Easter Sunday probe

Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) of Police Waruna Jayasundera has filed a writ petition before the Court of Appeal, seeking an order preventing his arrest without reasonable cause in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Attorney General have been named as respondents in the petition, said Ada Derana reporter.
