Underworld figure ‘Bus Lalith’ taken to CCIB

Organized crime figure and drug trafficker Lalith Kannangara, also known as ‘Bus Lalith’, who was arrested in Dubai and brought back to Sri Lanka today (25), has been taken to the Central Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB).

He was brought to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) at around 5.20 a.m. today (25) onboard SriLankan Airlines flight UL-226 from Dubai.

He is a 36-year-old resident of Duwa Temple Road in Kalutara South.

Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) had recorded his statements before he was taken to the CCIB under tight security for further investigations.
