Asalanka, Kamindu Mendis, Wellalage to Lead Teams in SLC T20 League

Sri Lanka Cricket announced the squads for the T20 cricket league tournament.

The tournament will feature three teams: Blue, Green, and Grey. The Grey team will be captained by Sri Lanka's regular ODI and T20 captain, Charith Asalanka.

Additionally, young player Dunith Wellalage has been named captain of the Blue team, and Kamindu Mendis will lead the Green team.

The tournament is set to begin on the 7th, with the final match scheduled for August 16th. All matches will be played at the SSC grounds in Colombo.

In the preliminary round, each team will play 4 matches. The two teams with the highest points will qualify for the final.

Sri Lanka Cricket has organized this tournament with the upcoming Zimbabwe tour, starting on August 29th, in mind.
