ELLA, Sri Lanka — A bus carrying a group of excursionists plunged approximately 200 meters down a precipice on the Ella-Wellawaya road, injuring more than 20 people.
The accident occurred near the 15th-kilometer post as the bus was traveling from Ella back to Tangalle. The group was returning after a pleasure trip to Ella.
Rescue operations are underway, and the injured have been taken to a hospital for treatment. At this time, there is no information available on the extent of the damage caused by the accident. (NewsCenter)
