The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched an attack on the al-Dhafra air base, south of Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, today (March 15), targeting American forces.
Iranian news agencies reported that 10 missiles and drones were used in the attack.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said that the attacks targeted American Patriot radar systems, a control tower and aircraft yards at the al-Dhafra base.
Several of the missiles were destroyed in the air by the UAE’s defense systems, but their debris reportedly fell in residential areas around Abu Dhabi.
It is reported that large explosions were heard in the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai following the attack, and a fire broke out at an oil depot near Fujairah.
