
Organized crime suspect Danushka Kaushalya, alias “Ratmalana Saima,” and two other suspects arrested in Malaysia were brought back to Sri Lanka this afternoon (10).
According to reports, the three suspects arrived in the country on SriLankan Airlines flight UL315 at around 4:28 p.m.
A special team of Sri Lankan police officers, including Assistant Superintendent of Police Olugala, travelled to Malaysia to escort the suspects back to Sri Lanka.
Police said one of the three suspects has been identified as a key associate of organized crime figure Kanjipani Imran and that an Interpol Red Notice had been issued against him.
The three suspects were arrested in Malaysia during a special operation jointly conducted by Sri Lankan and Malaysian police.
