The father of Shiran Basik, a suspected major drug trafficker who was recently brought back to Sri Lanka from Dubai, has been arrested by the Central Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) in connection with an investigation into a property worth approximately Rs. 30 million.
According to reports, investigations have revealed that Shiran Basik had purchased an apartment at a luxury apartment complex in the Gampaha area, with the property registered in his father’s name.
Shiran Basik’s father had been instructed to appear before the CCIB today (11) to provide a statement regarding the property and was subsequently arrested.
