
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who went to New Delhi to participate in the AI Impact 2026 conference at the special invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, successfully concluded his visit and returned to the island last night (20).
The AI Impact 2026 conference was held in New Delhi with the participation of world leaders, diplomats and technology leaders with the aim of using artificial intelligence responsibly for the benefit of humanity, and the President participated in it on the 19th.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake addressed the Leaders' Session on the 19th afternoon, and the President pointed out that AI technology should be used to promote the cultural values and capabilities of humanity.
Also, during the summit, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held bilateral discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron, Brazilian President Lula da Silva, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay.
A special meeting was also held between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today.
Meanwhile, during this visit, the President also met with US President Donald Trump's Special Representative for South and Central Asia, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor.
