Watch: Retired Public Servants Protest in Colombo Over Pension Discrepancies

Colombo: A group of retired public servants held a protest in Colombo today, demanding a solution to the discrepancies in their pensions.

Following the protest, six representatives of the demonstrators were granted a meeting with Presidential Coordination Secretary Sanjaya Weerasinghe.

After a discussion that lasted nearly one and a half hours, the Presidential Coordination Secretary promised to arrange a meeting for the group with officials from the Pensions and Finance Ministries within one month.

Upon receiving this promise, the representatives addressed the protesters, and the crowd subsequently dispersed. (NewsCenter)
