198 Marks! Ambalangoda's Shanudi Amaya Tops Grade 5 Scholarship Exam

This year's Grade 5 Scholarship Examination results show that Shanudi Amaya Ashvini, a student from Sri Devananda Vidyalaya in Ambalangoda, has secured the first place island-wide with a score of 198 marks. The Department of Examinations has also released the district-level cut-off marks.

• Ratnapura: Sinhala Medium 136, Tamil Medium 132.
• Hambantota: Sinhala Medium 135, Tamil Medium 132.
• Badulla, Monaragala: Sinhala Medium 134, Tamil Medium 132.
• Ampara, Trincomalee, Puttalam, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa: Sinhala Medium 133, Tamil Medium 131.
• Nuwara Eliya: Sinhala and Tamil Medium 132.
• Kilinochchi, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Batticaloa: Sinhala Medium 127, Tamil Medium 132.
• Mannar: Sinhala Medium 127, Tamil Medium 131.
• Jaffna: Tamil Medium 132.

Examination Details

The examination, which took place on August 10, had 308,026 applicants, of whom 303,670 appeared for the exam. The Department of Examinations stated that 51,969 students have exceeded the cut-off scores.

Results can be accessed through the official websites of the Department of Examinations: www.doenets.lk or www.results.exams.gov.lk. Students can enter their correct index number to get their results and can also download and print the result sheet.

School principals can now download the result lists for their schools using their provided usernames and passwords. Individual certificates for candidates will be mailed to schools after considering any appeals. (newscenter)
