A local court today (October 3) granted permission to detain and question Weerasinghe Sanath, alias 'Beliatte Sana,' who was arrested in connection with a drug case in the Seenimodara, Tangalle area.
Accordingly, the Tangalle Acting Magistrate, Mr. Vidura Weerakoon, authorized the police to detain and question the suspect until October 9.
The criminal, known as 'Beliatte Sana' from Beliatta, was arrested by the Tangalle Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit on October 1.
